- He heard her pull off in his car. He returned to his phone call. "Yeah, man, I'm down. You gotta drive, though. Gabby just took my car." Less than 30 minutes later Roman heard the distinctive sound of Kirby's horn beeping. He went to kiss his wife goodbye, but she was still asleep, so he just left her there.

- The house was quiet. Gabrielle hadn't made it back from visiting her roommate, and Monica had already left for her Friday night church meeting. The road trip to Tampa had been great. After the junkyard, they'd had a late lunch, and Kirby had convinced Roman that they also had time for a quick visit to the world-famous Mons Venus strip club, in the heart of Tampa. Roman was a bit more erudite, and junk yards and strip clubs weren't totally his thing. But Kirby was absolutely in his element. He insisted on a couple of lap dances for both of them, and Roman had been going without for too long to effectively resist the offer. He also thought that the girls might get his mind off his gorgeous daughter. But they only reminded of how sweet and fresh a young girl could feel.
